At the screenings, the listed relevant speakers will be present for Q&A’s and to share in a live exchange after the films.

Burt’s Buzz (2013, USA)
4:00-5:30

Burt’s Buzz is a beautiful documentary about a 70-year-old man (aka the real Burt) who, with his organic bee-wax lip balm, becomes a multi millionaire against his deeper desires. Watch the trailer and you will understand why. This screening will be preceded by a Q & A with urban bee keeping guru Albert Muller.

Into Eternity (2010, Denmark)
6:00-7:30

The International Documentary Film Amsterdam classic Into Eternity is up next. This film explores the building of a nuclear waste storage unit within Finland. This nuclear ‘trashbin’ is supposed to store harmful nuclear wastes for the coming 100,000 years – now, that’s a long time. Watch the trailer. This screening will begin with a thoughtful and provocative introduction by journalist Thomas Muntz (De Correspondent and De Groene Amsterdammer).

GMO OMG! ( 2013, USA)
8:00-9:30

And for dessert, we will be screening GMO OMG! It all began when director Jeremy Seifert questioned the ways that consumption of genetically modified foods can effect our everyday lives. Seifert continues to question: at this point, do we have any choice in the matter? And, is there a way we can reverse GMO production methods? Watch the trailer. This final fair screening will begin with some words of wisdom from local food sustainability expert Vera Bachrach (De Tostifabriek).

You can purchase tickets to all of the above screenings online, right here. “See you”, when the lights go out! And, don’t forget to RSVP on facebook.
